How’s Your Bread Buttered??

8.10.10

I just started buying the Organic Valley Pasture Butter this summer, and it’s delicious. I’m not one of those people who can tell you what it tastes like, but it tastes good. Produced during peak pasture season for the cows, the butter is higher than normal in antioxidants and Omega’s-3 and -6, and of course has no hormones, pesticides or antibiotics. The company only produces and sells it between May-September, so you’ve got one month left of the fresh stuff and then I’m planning to stock up and freeze it for use through winter. According to what I’m finding, it won’t last frozen through spring, but better a few more months than none. Try it and let me know what you think.
