Who’s writing this anyway?…
I’m a stay-at-home mom trying hard not to fall into the trap of being supermom, i.e. where I go crazy micro-managing every aspect of my daughter’s lives so that they can be the prodigies every mother knows their children are meant to be. Thankfully though, I don’t really have the energy. I figure they’ll explore the world at our side, and since dad and I like alot of different things, Miss P and Miss S will get a pretty good sampling. From there they can nudge us to let us know what they find interesting.
I was the editor of a national woman’s magazine for four years which I left to start our family, but there are too many topics I find interesting to not be writing about anymore. Most importantly is that I want to give our daughters an ease and familiarity within a conscious, healthy lifestyle so they won’t struggle as an adult to reverse bad habits. Right now they don’t know the difference between what my husband and I say and what we do. But soon enough they won’t be babies anymore, so that means the need to see common-sense living in practice in our home, surrounding them as seamlessly as possible. So this blog is about my journey to make our lives as sensible as possible so our Lemondrop girls have a strong foundation to build upon. It helps that I’ve been wanting to do this for myself for a long time, and as a reformed, epically masterful procrastinator, it turns out all I needed was some little lives depending on me in order to get on with it.
